Every board game lover knows the feeling — It’s game night, and no one can agree on what to play. Or even if they can select something from the too-full game closet, there are some in the group who dread reading the complex instructions. Asmodee, the award-winning board game publisher, claims to have found the solution. The company is unifying its most popular games under one brand called Unbox Now. The new label will feature 11 of the top Asmodee games, including Catan, Rivals for Catan, Pandemic, Ticket to Ride, and more.

Asmodee is assuring players that this brand will be a fresh experience for board gamers, helping them feel less overwhelmed when choosing between seemingly endless board game options. The Unbox Now games will get new branding, websites, dedicated social media channels, online and in-store displays, and more. The new label will also focus on creating accessible instructions that are quick and easy to understand, so players know they can begin an Unbox Now game in a matter of minutes.

This move follows a thorough research process which revealed that 54% of players believe learning and explaining rules affects how often they play board games. Think of Unbox Now like a menu with only the best-selling main dishes — no matter what players choose, they will likely enjoy it. Paradox of choice, beware!
