There’s no doubt that board games have seen a resurgence during the pandemic, but it can be hard to game with your favorite people while social distancing. Asmodee’s new Connect & Play initiative teaches players how to play its iconic games virtually.
Connect and Play currently features five Asmodee games, with more on the way soon. Fans can click on the name of the game they’d like to play and find a PDF file on how to play it remotely, along with other resources like Zoom backgrounds to truly get into character, a print and play version, and an introduction to the original game.
Currently, players can learn how to remotely play Dixit, Just One, Dobble/ Spot it!, Sherlock Holmes, and Times Up. Some of the games are based on observations, while others get deep into a mystery. This means there is something for everyone who normally gathers around the Thanksgiving table.
Asmodee fans can also connect through another free initiative launched during the spring called Print and Play. The collection includes fan-faves like Catan (and of course Pandemic: Hot Zone – North America) and brand-new games like Ticket to Ride Stay at Home. Each game can be printed out to play anywhere.
