Attention, Whovians! The universe is calling, and Jodie Whittaker is ready to answer it.
At long last, we finally get a first glance as Whittaker transforms into the iconic Time Lord and makes history as the first female Doctor.
Yesterday, BBC America released the first full trailer of season 11 of Doctor Who at Comic-Con International: San Diego. While we only got a brief 40-second tease, we see a look at the Whittaker’s Thirteenth Doctor wearing the Twelfth Doctor’s signature outfit, gasping in shock, and then more glimpses of the first female Doctor, alongside her new friends Yasmin (Mandip Gill), Ryan (Tosin Cole), and Graham (Bradley Walsh), on her various quests.
We hear Whittaker say in the trailer, “All of this is new to me. New faces, new worlds, new times. So if I asked, really, really nicely — would you be my new best friends?”
BBC America also released a new promotional image on Twitter, showing Whittaker holding a brand-new Sonic Screwdriver.
