Let’s go, Pikachu!

The Pokémon Co. and Nintendo are teaming up for the release of two brand-new Pokémon video games.

Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! will feature new ways to play your beloved Pokémon for both new and experienced Pokémon gamers.

The new games will feature Mega Evolutions, which are super strong evolutions players can use once per battle to “unleash the energy within a Pokémon.” But this new evolution can’t be utilized by just any Pokémo—instead, players can only complete a Mega Evolution when they’ve established a strong bond between their Pokémon and its trainer. And, there’s a few other stipulations: Players will only be able to Mega Evolve a Pokémon (starting with Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise) once per battle if they have collected their character’s Key Stone and Mega Stone. Sounds like we’ve got some foraging to do!

In the new games, players will be able to explore several interesting locations in the Kanto region, including the iconic Vermillion City, where luxury cruise S.S. Anne docks once a year. In the city’s gym, players can battle the Lightning Lieutenant, Gym Leader Lt. Surge.

And last, but certainly not least, the classic Team Rocket crew of Jessie, James, and Meowth will team up once more as you and your Pokémon try to stop their evil plots. Afterall, what would a Pokémon game be without this iconically short-sighted trio?

Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! will release exclusively on the Nintendo Switch beginning November 16.
