Modiphius Entertainment and Gearbox Entertainment have kicked off a crowdfunding campaign to get their newest tabletop project onto shelves: the Homeworld Fleet Command.

Developed by F3D co-founder Nick Fallon and Modiphius CCO Chris Birch, this upcoming board game is inspired by the Homeworld video game series. The game brings up to four players into the heat of fleet warfare as they compete to build their arsenal of ships to battle it out through a 10-part campaign.

Players will take on the role of Admiral as they lead their fleet through epic battles, such as Return to Kharak, Supernova Station, and Tenhauser Gate. The base game comes with 101 plastic ships, including the Mothership, 48 fighters, 24 Corvettes, 24 Frigates, two Carriers, and two Destroyers. With solo rules, players can man either side against an opposing fleet, or multiple players can man one fleet at once. Combining multiple Homeworld Fleet Command game sets can create even bigger battles!

Homeworld Fleet Command features the same mechanics as Modiphius’ previous title, Airfix Battles Introductory Wargame. Backers of this game’s Kickstarter campaign need to pledge £75 (about $90) to get the base game. Those who pledge higher amounts can be rewarded with new ship models and upgrades, campaign play, new mechanics based on Airfix Battles, and other Kickstarter exclusives.

The campaign has already exceeded its goal of $96,329 with 905 backers raising more than $190,000 at the time of writing. The campaign will stay open for backers until March 5.
