Larian Studios heads back to Rivellon with the launch of its new board game. The game studio behind the iconic release of Baldur’s Gate 3 last year set up shop at PAX East in Boston over the weekend to celebrate the launch of its new tabletop game — Divinity: Original Sin The Board Game — with guided demos and sets to purchase on the spot.

Inspired by Larian’s award-winning video game, Divinity: Original Sin II, Divinity: Original Sin The Board Game challenges up to four players to take on the roles of iconic characters, including Ifan, Fane, Sebille, Cassian, Red Prince, and more. Players embark on their journey through the Divine Atlas, which features 50 locations to explore. A full playthrough of the game takes around 20 hours to complete, even though players only visit roughly 16 of the locations.

The game comes with everything you need for a successful campaign, including more than 200 item cards, more than 160 skill cards, almost 500 location cards, more than 200 enemies to face, 16 dice, a boss booklet, and much more. Larian also has tons of expansion packs and upgrade sets available for preorder, including more adventures and miniatures.

Divinity: Original Sin The Board Game is available for preorder now. Even if you haven’t played through Divinity: Original Sin II, this game is the perfect long-term campaign for your friend group to start up next!
