Nintendo fans are in for a treat later this month. The company is headed to PAX East in Boston from March 28 to 31 with a large assortment of games, events, and activities for fans, headlined by the finals of the Splatoon 2 North America Inkling Open 2019 and the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate North America Open 2019.
“PAX East will be really exciting this year. Not only will we have new games for fans to try, but it will also be the culmination of our Nintendo Switch tournaments across North America,” says Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s senior vice president of sales and marketing. “From the thousands of competitors who began the journey, our finalists rose to the top and are ready to put the skills to the test for everyone in person and watching online.”
The finals both take place on March 30 at the PAX Arena. Fans with a PAX East Saturday badge are free to attend on a first-come, first-served basis. They’ll also be livestreamed for anyone who can’t make it to PAX East.
Attendees who visit Nintendo’s booths can test some upcoming Nintendo Switch games (listed below). Nintendo’s booths will also feature a memorable photo opportunity inspired by Yoshi’s Crafted World and mini-challenge competitions in the Yoshi’s Crafted World and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate games for the Nintendo Switch system. Fans who participate in these challenges can receive some fun, branded prizes, while supplies last.
