On Saturday, Tamagotchi fans at New York Comic Con (NYCC) were hyped to get the first peek at some of the new merch and event news from Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America.
Moderated by David Edmundson (Global Marketing Leader and Director of Marketing at Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America Inc.), Tara Badie (Senior Brand Director), Tanya Sexton (Brand Director), and Anita Komatsu (Assistant Brand Manager), the panel began with a special video tracing the evolution of Tamagotchi over the past 30 years, ending with the most recent Tamagotchi Paradise.

After sharing what was available at the Tamagotchi show floor booth, the panelists shared what was on the way for fans to continue celebrating the special milestone. A Roblox code was revealed that grants players access to White Glacier’s Okojotchi in the Tamagotchi Party game, and it can be used until the end of the year.
Fans were excited to hear that there would be multiple pop-up collabs with Miniso from Nov. 7-29 in Austin, Texas, and East Rutherford, NJ, as well as a new Miniso Land opening on Oct. 17 in Columbus, Ohio, featuring a wall of Tamagotchi merch. On opening weekend, anyone attending the two pop-ups in Texas and New Jersey can get a special commemorative trading card as a gift with purchase, along with a visor and lapel pins while supplies last. NYC fans will also get to check out a special Tamagotchi UFO Space Mission at FAO Schwarz next month, where they can customize their own lanyard with photo cardholders, spare capsules, and stickers.
Next, the panelists confirmed that a new Tamagotchi Paradise model, the Neon Planet style, would be coming soon to the U.S. Preorders are available now on Amazon, and the new style launches at major retailers Nov. 21. It features three different planets to visit, new Tamas, and will still be compatible with the previous Paradise models.
The next major Tamagotchi device confirmed at the panel is the My Lab Tamagotchi. There’s no official North American launch date at this time, but fans will have recognized it from seeing the Japanese version that will be launching Nov. 7. It’s a battery-powered home version of the Home Deka Tamagotchi that will be compatible with Tamagotchi Paradise and will offer fans the ability to create unique Tama combinations, with new Lab-specific Tamas available for fans to care for.
Different styles of the original Tamagotchi were announced, including a limited edition winter and holiday series, a retailer-exclusive 30th anniversary series, and a Tamagotchi and collectible figure set coming in November, as well as a series three set of the Tamagotchi Collectibles Paradise figures launching next February.

Fans cheered for the next big announcement: a Tamagotchi ring with a charging case and color screen. There will be three different colorways available sometime in February or March: Aurora White and Pink, Gold and Light Blue, and Silver and Black. You’ll be able to feed your Tamagotchi, play mini games, and customize the room your Tama lives in.
The panelists then shared details about the upcoming event the brand would host to celebrate its 30th anniversary. On Nov. 22, NYC’s Times Square will host a Tamagotchi Takeover from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. It’s a free-to-attend event, so make sure to bring (and feed) your Tamagotchi and join in on the festivities.
