The final frontier isn’t finished yet.
A new trailer for Star Trek: Picard peeks into the titular captain’s journey of returning to Starfleet for one more mission. It also shows some exciting new characters and the return of the Enterprise starship — assuming it’s the same one Picard first piloted in Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Patrick Stewart returns as Jean-Luc Picard in the series, which is set 18 years after the film Star Trek: Nemesis. Having returned to his family’s vineyard in La Barre, France, Picard yearns for his old adventures in space.
Star Trek: Picard is the eighth installment in the Star Trek franchise. It premieres this Thursday, Jan. 23 exclusively on CBS All Access. A second season has already been ordered.
