A new era of Saban’s Power Rangers begins this year, and today we got a first look at a new franchise extension. Hasbro and Lionsgate partner with nWay, the developer and publisher behind the hit mobile game Power Rangers: Legacy Wars, for a new cross-platform fighting game, Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid. The game will be available as a digital download first on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in April, with a PC release later this year.

Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid  pits new and classic Rangers and villains against each other in team battles. Cross-play is available on multiple platforms, with all players placed in the same player pool with the ability to compete against each other in real-time, regardless of platform. A player’s mission progress is saved to travel with them, even if they switch platforms.

An exclusive pre-order bonus includes the Green Ranger V2 character skin (note Jason David Frank in the trailer and artwork above) and a digital art book. Additionally, a special Digital Collector’s Edition will be available including the full game download, Season One Pass (which will include three new characters, their arcade story, and a new warrior skin), and exclusive Lord Drakkon Evo II and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Pink Ranger character skins. The game is up for pre-order now.
