Hey, dumb babies! The Rugrats are making a comeback to the small and big screens.
A relaunch is set for the beloved ’90s cartoon with a 26-episode series from Nickelodeon and live-action movie from Paramount Players, Paramount Pictures’ newly-launched film division that will focus on creating content for Viacom cable channels.
All of your favorites will return, including Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, Lil, Susie, and Angelica, and we’ll have a chance to meet some new faces as well.
The series’ original creators Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó, and Paul Germain will be back to serve as executive producers, and production is already underway. More deets, including an air date, will be announced soon.
However, the movie already has a release date of Nov. 13, 2020, and will feature CGI characters. While we’re unsure of how this will look for now, our millennial hearts are fluttering with yet another reboot of one of our faves. ICYMI, Nickelodeon already aired a Hey Arnold special last year and is creating new content for Invader Zim and Rocko’s Modern Life.Â
