Lego Batman SDCC

*Updated: July 17*

LEGO is coming to Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC) loaded up with exclusive sets, free mini-fig giveaways, first-look products, and more. Let us break it all down for you!

The SDCC Exclusives

LEGO SDCC exclusive reveals kicked off with this awesome Captain Marvelthemed building set, which con attendees may be able to get their hands on — you have to fill out an interest form first.

Then, LEGO announced its next exclusive (pictured above): the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes The Dark Knight of Gotham City building set to commemorate Batman‘s 80th anniversary. The bat-tastic set includes a Gotham City rooftop and part of the city skyline (with the Bat Signal, of course). The set also features a Batman minifigure.

The third exclusive building set hails from a galaxy far, far away: the LEGO Star Wars Sith trooper bust. It features the newly announced Sith trooper from the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Fans hoping to purchase the 484-piece set ($45) can fill out an interest form through the official SDCC Exclusives Portal.

The First Looks

SDCC LEGO Avengers

The LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Avengers Hulk Helicopter Drop will be shown for the first time at SDCC, but it won’t actually be a con exclusive — everyone can own it beginning on Nov. 25. The set features Hulk and Black Widow in their Quantum Realm suits alongside Pepper Potts in her Rescue armor, ready to do battle with Thanos’ Chitauri!

Star wars SDCC

Two new LEGO Star Wars sets will debut at the con: Obi-Wan’s Hut and Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder. Both sets will be available on Jan. 1 next year ($29.99 each), but they will be shown at SDCC for the first time.

LEGO Overwatch Wrecking Ball set

Avid gamers will get a sneak peek at two new LEGO Overwatch sets at the booth. The Wrecking Ball set ($19.99), piloted by Hammond the hamster, and the Junkrat & Roadhog set ($49.99), inspired by the Junkertown map, will be on display at the con before it hit shelves in October.

The Minifigures
Spider-man minifig

This year, LEGO will give away different Con-exclusive minifigures each day of SDCC via randomized, instant-win drawings. Things start off with this Spider-Man figure. It is based on the PS4 game, featuring the hero in his advanced suit. The figure will be given away on Thursday, July 18.

Spidey won’t be the only exclusive minifig at this year’s con. Some lucky SDCC attendees — selected by a random, instant-win drawing on Saturday, July 20 — will get their hands on this Zebra Batman figure. It comes in special Batman 80th Anniversary packaging and will only be available at the con.

LEGO’s third exclusive minifigure is Barb from Stranger Things. She’ll be up for grabs on Friday, July 19, through another instant-win drawing.

The Booth

Even if they aren’t buying any exclusive, fans can stop by the LEGO booth (No. 2829) to see some impressive builds.

Sith trooper

In addition to selling a Sith trooper bust, the LEGO booth will feature a life-sized build of the Sith trooper. It stands at 6 feet, 2 inches tall and is made up of 34,207 bricks. It took 259 hours to design and build!

Batman

In honor of the Caped Crusader’s 80th anniversary, the booth will also have a life-size Batman and a 3D, brick-built mosaic of DC’s No. 1000 variant comic book cover. The mural is made of 96,768 LEGO elements and is more than 10 feet tall.

Iron Man

The third build honors another hero: Iron Man. The 6.5-foot model is made of 35,119 bricks and took 255 hours to design and build. In tribute to his heroic actions in Avengers: Endgame, the figure shows Iron Man with the Infinity Stones on his fist.

Stay tuned for additional details and additional LEGO SDCC exclusives!
