Malibu Barbie is coming to town just in time for Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC), and you just got the invite.
Bucket Listers’ Malibu Barbie Cafe has been a viral sensation in other cities, and Babs is finally driving her pink convertible into San Diego. The pop-up previously made an appearance in New York City.

Doors for the Malibu Barbie Cafe officially open July 11 at Bayside Kitchen and Bar, and it’s decked out with the pinkest retro vibe ever. Who doesn’t want to cosplay Barbie over a West Coast diner meal? Whether you go for the classic Americana diner food or the funky sodas (which arrive in a mini pink convertible, BTW), everything has total Barbie approval.
Additionally, Malibu Barbie Cafe goers can channel their true California girl spirit and throw on a pair of roller skates from Impala Skate and cruise around a hot pink, groovy rink for a $1 donation to the American Red Cross — we always knew Barbie was a great philanthropist.
Plus, we all know the best part of a pop-up is the merch, so exclusive merchandise will be available. All we can hope is that the merch is as pink as the rink, but we will have to wait and see. Tickets for this experience will be available soon. Each ticket will be $25 and include access to the experience, food, and merch credit. For now, fans can sign up for the waitlist to be notified when the timeslots drop on buckletlisters.com.
See you there, we’ll be the ones in hot pink!
