Batman Hush

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment (WBHE) has tons of epic events in store for fans at Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC), including a whopping six world-premiere events.

Get ready for 13 WBHE events during the con. Add these panels and fan activations to your SDCC schedule. 

PANELS

THURSDAY, JULY 18

Batman Beyond 20th Anniversary, 12:15-1:15 p.m., Hall H

Join Batman Beyond producers Bruce Timm and Glen Murakami, casting and dialogue director Andrea Romano, director James Tucker, writers Bob Goodman and Stan Berkowitz, and stars Kevin Conroy (Batman) and Will Friedle (Terry McGinnis) for a panel celebrating the 20th anniversary of the two-time Emmy Award-winning animated series. WBHE will host the panel, hand out exclusive prizes, and make some major announcements. 

Horror Times Two: Critters Attack! and The Banana Splits Movies, 4:30-5:30 p.m., Room 6DE

WBHE will host a panel to give fans a closer look at two of its upcoming horror films: Critters Attack! and The Banana Splits. Stars Dee Wallace and Tashiana Washington will be on the panel, along with director Bobby Miller, critters puppeteer Keith Arbuthnot, Blue Ribbon Content’s Peter Girardi, and Steve Blum (voice of the critters), and will discuss the film adaptation of Critters Attack! 

Writers Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas, actor Sara Canning, Girardi, and Eric Bauza (voice of Banana Splits), will follow in a panel about the The Banana Splits reboot. 

World Premiere of Shazam! Documentary, 6-7 p.m., Horton Grand Theatre

Shazam! star Asher Angel will introduce the DC Spotlight Shazam! documentary. The documentary, which will begin streaming later this summer on DC Universe, includes interviews with the people who helped turn the comic book superhero into a pop culture icon. DC writers and artists — including Geoff Johns, Jerry Ordway, Tom Mandrake, Jeff Smith, Gerry Conway, Jim Lee, and Dan DiDio; filmmaker/comic expert Kevin Smith; stars Zachary Levi, Mark Strong, Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, and Cooper Andrews; director David F. Sandberg; and producer Peter Safran — will discuss their perspectives on the legendary character and story. 

World Premiere of The Banana Splits Movie, 10-11:30 p.m., Horton Grand Theatre

The silly quartet returns during the premiere of the thriller The Banana Splits, starring Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries), Dani Kind (Wynonna Earp), and Eric Bauza (Looney Tunes Cartoons, Woody Woodpecker, UniKitty!). Catch the premiere at the Horton Grand Theatre before it heads to digital on Aug.13 and Blu-Ray and DVD on Aug. 27.

FRIDAY, JULY 19

World Premiere of Batman: Hush, 7:15-9:15 p.m., Ballroom 20

The long-awaited animated movie Batman: Hush will finally make its debut at Comic-Con. Fans will also have the chance to meet the filmmakers and voice cast during the post-screening panel, which will include voice stars Jason O’Mara (Batman/Bruce Wayne), Jennifer Morrison (Catwoman/Selina Kyle), Geoffrey Arend (The Riddler), Hynden Walch (Harley Quinn), and Bruce Thomas (Jim Gordon); director Justin Copeland; screenwriter Ernie Altbacker; character designer Phil Bourassa; and executive producer James Tucker. Batman: Hush will release on digital beginning on July 20 and begin streaming on DC Universe on Aug. 13. It will also release in a 4K ultra HD combo pack and a Blu-Ray combo pack on Aug. 6. 

Batman: Hush Encore Screening, 9:30-11 p.m., Ballroom 20

WBHE will host a second screening of the highly anticipated animated film for fans who couldn’t make it to the first one — or who just need to see it a second time. 

SATURDAY, JULY 20

Scooby-Doo’s 50th Birthday Bash, 12:30-1:30 p.m., Room 6A

This panel will celebrate 50 years of Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Inc. crew. Several key showrunners, filmmakers, and stars of the franchise, including Grey Griffin (Daphne) and Kate Micucci (Velma), will lead the panel and offer a sneak peek at the upcoming Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!: The Complete Series Limited Edition 50th Anniversary Mystery Mansion box set, from WBHE. The box set will be available in stores on Sept. 3. 

SUNDAY, JULY 21

World Premiere of Scooby-Doo! Return to Zombie Island, 10:15-11:45 a.m., Room 6BCF

Scooby and the gang are back to solve another mystery while on vacation in this animated sequel to the original Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island film. The movie will be released this fall. 

World Premiere of Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans, 10:15-11:45 a.m., Room 6BCF

Fans of the Teen Titans will get the epic chance to see the two universes of Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go! during this premiere. They can stick around after the screening for a panel discussion featuring stars of the movie, including Greg Cipes (Beast Boy), Scott Menville (Robin), Khary Payton (Cyborg), Tara Strong (Raven), Hynden Walch (Starfire), and Grey Griffin (Mrs. Claus), as well as some special guests. They will join producer/director Jeff Mednikow, screenwriters Marly Halpern-Graser, and Jeremy Adams. The animated film will release this fall on Blu-ray combo pack, DVD, and digital. 

World Premiere of LEGO DC: Batman – Family Matters, 2:15-4:15 p.m., Room 6BCF

The latest animated LEGO DC adventure arrives during Comic-Con in room 6BCF. Batman, Robin, and Batgirl must stick together to fight the nastiest villains in Gotham City. A star-studded panel will follow the screening and include Troy Baker (Batman), Alyson Stoner (Batgirl), and Scott Menville (Robin), along with Jason Spisak (Red Hood), Tara Strong (Batwoman), and Steve Blum (Scarecrow). LEGO DC: Family Matters arrives later this summer on Blu-ray combo pack, DVD, and digital.

POP-UP EVENTS

Fans looking for a more immersive experience from their favorite Warner Bros. characters can head across the street near the Omni hotel to the Detective Pikachu Ryme City and Shazam! Chilladelphia Winter Carnival pop-up events for photo ops and prizes. Check out the schedule below.

‘BATWOMAN’ AND ‘PENNYWORTH’ KEYCARDS

WBHE is celebrating 80 years of Batman and the release of two DC TV series from the world of Batman on the CW and EPIX by giving all SDCC hotel guests Batwoman and Pennyworth official hotel keycards. HBO will also release Watchmen keycards for fans at SDCC.

Pennyworth will lead the pack as an EPIX original series debuting on Sunday, July 28 at 9 p.m. Batwoman, starring Ruby Rose, will follow on the CW on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. Watchmen will debut in the fall on HBO.
