Stan Lee is ready to start creating again; the world is ready for Stan Lee to start creating again.

After a really rough year fraught with losing his wife, dealing with a shady business partner, and filing a lawsuit, Lee dropped the $1 billion lawsuit he took out against POW! Entertainment for being deceived into signing away the rights to his name. Lee filed the lawsuit in May when he was still dealing with aforementioned shady business partner, Keya Morgan, who is now barred from stepping within 100 feet of the Marvel legend. It’s unclear how involved Morgan was in planting the seeds of the allegation to Lee, but the dismissal of the charges following the restraining order on Friday speaks for itself.

POW! Entertainment, now owned by Camsing International, and Lee announced the dismissal of the lawsuit in a joint statement.

“The whole thing has been confusing to everyone, including myself and the fans, but I am now happy to be surrounded by those who want the best for me,” Lee remarked. “I am thrilled to put the lawsuit behind me, get back to business with my friends and colleagues at POW! and launch the next wave of amazing characters and stories!”

CEO of Pow! Entertainment said, “We are ecstatic that this ill-founded lawsuit has been dismissed and we look forward to working with Stan again to develop and produce the great projects that were put on hold when the lawsuit was filed. We recently got together with Stan to discuss our path forward and we and Camsing are pleased with his overwhelmingly enthusiastic reaction.”

The lawsuit, which stated that Lee signed over the company without fully understanding the terms, hasn’t resulted in any bad blood or ill wishes on either side, as it looks like Lee and the company will work together in the future. According to POW! Entertainment, they’ve been working to resolve things amicably for Lee’s benefit and wellbeing.

Things are looking up for Lee, so hopefully, the next headline will be about an awesome new comic he’s working on.
