Straight from another galaxy, the Star Trek: Lower Decks trailer is officially here.
The animated series will premiere on CBS All Access on Aug. 6, and 10 episodes will follow every Thursday after. The new show follows a group of lower deck-workers aboard U.S.S. Cerritos who are just trying to keep their ship together. Check out the trailer below.
Fans of Rick and Morty and Solar Opposites will notice a familiar style to the series, as it’s from the same creator, Mike McMahan. While the lives of Mariner, Boimler, Rutherford, and Tendi are maybe not as glamorous as Captain Kirk or Jean-Luc Picard (or even Rick Sanchez, for that matter), they are still somehow always in just as much danger. The crew balances saving the ship with their daily duties and slightly awkward social lives.
