Think you have what it takes to be a Star Fighter?
After initially teasing that pilots are wanted for the new game Star Wars: Squadron, Electronic Arts (EA) just confirmed that the game will bring fans the chance to fight either for or against the Empire.
Players will have the chance to battle using both the X-Wing and TIE Fighters in the first-person multiplayer game. Pilots will join a team to save never-before-seen parts of the galaxy, such as the gas giant of Yavin Prime and the shattered moon of Galitan. You’ll be able to modify your ship, change the power in its systems, and defy your enemies in strategic space dogfights.
The game takes flight with a single-player story in which players can compete in 5v5 dogfights, unite with their squadron, and immerse themselves in the pilot’s seat with the help of virtual reality.
Star Wars: Squadron drops on Oct. 2, preorder it here for Steam, Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
The full gameplay reveal will drop at EA’s Play Live event on June 18, along with more games and announcements, including more info on FIFA. Find more info on EA’s website.
