It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a virtual Superman experience!

Later this week, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and block-chain purveyor Eluvio are teaming up to drop the Superman Web3 Movie Experience. This is the second release from WB Movieverse, following last year’s The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring Web3 Movie Experience.

The experience is a multimedia nonfungible token (NFT) that offers a thoroughly modern way to enjoy and immerse oneself in the classic 1978 film Superman: The Movie. Think 4K Ultra HD quality, a laundry list of special features and bonus content, artist renderings by celebrated DC artists, easter eggs, and interactive elements.

The Superman Web3 Movie Experience will be offered in both standard and premium editions. The standard edition ($30 for 1 week of access) allows owners to explore the location-based navigation menu, watch the theatrical version of Superman: The Movie, and enjoy special features like an image gallery of behind-the-scenes and archival stills. The premium edition ($100 for 24-hour access) comes in three variations, available to purchase separately. The themes are Truth, Justice, and Hope, each with illustrations from different DC artists. Each variation includes three ways to watch the movie —the theatrical version, the expanded director’s cut, and the TV edition — and hours of special features and discoverables. Be it for one week or 24 hours, Hollywood, Smallville, and The Fortress of Solitude (which will become alarmingly relatable when this drops) will be closer to home than ever.

No need for investigative journalism or x-ray vision to find it either: the Superman Web3 Movie Experience will be available to DC Bat Cowl NFT holders at 8 a.m. ET on June 8, to DC3 holders at 11 a.m. ET on June 8, and to The Lord of the Rings Web3 Movie Experience holders at 2 p.m. ET on June 8. And if you’re just a regular old Clark Kent type, the NFT drops to the public on June 9 at 8 a.m. ET, exclusively on the WB Movieverse website. It will be available for purchase by credit card or crypto (not Krypton) currency.
