Paramount Pictures’ Terminator: Dark Fate will continue The Terminator saga this fall with a mix of old and new faces, including the original cyborg played by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The first trailer for the sixth film in the franchise follows the return of Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) the day after Judgement Day. She makes her big entrance with guns blazing and tries to take down a new and improved terminator (Gabriel Luna). This time he’s after the new target, Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes), whom another badass lady terminator named Grace (Mackenzie Davis) is protecting.
The problem is that the new terminator guy won’t die. He just regenerates by morphing into an exact copy of himself. Grace even breaks his knee with a fricken sledgehammer, and the robot keeps fighting her like it’s not a problem. It’s totally gross — but really awesome!
The new terminator is so invincible that Sarah Connor agrees to call in the big guns: T-800 (Schwarzenegger). Fans will just have to wait and see how he came back this time after melting himself in Terminator 2: Judgement Day.
Tim Miller (Deadpool) is directing the follow up to Terminator 2, while James Cameron and David Ellison are producing it.
Terminator: Dark Fate will premiere in theaters in November.
