You might not have the magical ring, but you can still party like Bilbo Baggins and his crew at this Hobbiton Airbnb!
In celebration of the 10th anniversary of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, guests are invited to reside at the Hobbiton movie set in New Zealand for selected weekends next year, tucked away in the series’ beautiful green hills across a 2,500-acre farm. Russell Alexander, who owns the property, is hosting three two-night stays for up to four guests at just $6 per night.
In addition to the set decor, Hobbiton is packed with the amenities you’d enjoy in any Airbnb, including a TV, wifi, a kitchen, and a fireplace. There’s even free parking.

During their stay, visitors will have the opportunity to explore The Shire, featuring 44 Hobbit Holes, The Millhouse, The Green Dragon Inn, and other scenic locations from the movie series. Guests will be able to enjoy special extras at these locations, created by Creative Director Brian Massey. This includes a classic LOTR-inspired feast, access to a quiet writing nook, and even a private tour of the set.
LOTR stans can book the Airbnb starting at 1 p.m. PT on Dec. 13 at airbnb.com/hobbiton. Stays will be offered for March 2-4, March 9-11, and March 16-18 of next year. Of course, the bookings are incredibly limited, so interested fans will have to act fast.
Prepare to book your stay in Middle-earth, but beware of troll sightings and live dragons!
