After a roaring run at the box office that earned more than $1.5 billion worldwide, Disney’s The Lion King remake is headed for fans’ movie collections next month.
The movie will be available digitally on Oct. 11, then on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray on Oct. 22. The home release is full of extra features, including a three-part documentary called The Journey to The Lion King, which explores the film’s creation. There is also a lyric video for “Never Too Late” by Elton John, a music video for Beyoncé’s “Spirit,” and a feature on the “Protect the Pride” campaign, which focuses on protecting the lion population.
The Target-exclusive edition (pictured above) also comes with a gallery book showcasing imagery from the movie.
For anyone looking for a fancier addition to their movie collection, there is a Best Buy-exclusive Steelbook for the movie. It won’t be released until Oct. 22, but it is available now for preorder for $34.99.
