Does anything bring back memories of the original PlayStation and turn-of-the-century gaming quite like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater? Well, millennials, grab your controllers and get ready to shred because a remastered version of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 is on the way this fall from Activision.
Remastered from ramp to rail, this new release will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One devices, and for PC through the Epic platform. It will include fan-favorite features from the entire original Pro Skater franchise, such as revert, lip tricks, original multiplayer game modes, and Create-A-Park and Create-A-Skater modes.
Players will have even more customization options in this remaster, will be able to share parks online, and can select their favorite skaters from the complete roster of original pro talent, including Tony Hawk, Bucky Lasek, Steve Caballero, Geoff Rowley, Andrew Reynolds, and Elissa Steamer.
Fans can already check out some gameplay footage of the Warehouse level in this video, complete with commentary from Tony Hawk and Jack Black. Fans who preorder a digital version of the game will get access to a demo of the Warehouse level later this summer.
Preorder options include a $39.99 standard version, a $49.99 deluxe version that comes with in-game gear and content, and a $99.99 collector’s edition that will include digital deluxe content and a limited-run Birdhouse deck. Fans can explore all of the preorder options and secure their copy of the game now at tonyhawkthegame.com.
Check out the official game trailer below, and mark your calendars for Sept. 4, when the game will officially drop — or rather, drop in.
