This year marks the anniversary of the legendary music festival Woodstock, and in the spirit of the peaceful celebration, it’s time to do it all over again.
Celebrating the 50th anniversary, this summer Woodstock 50 will have an all-star lineup, including Miley Cyrus, Beyonce’s husband Jay-Z, and The Killers, to commemorate the iconic music festival. The festival shared the groovy lineup on social media yesterday.
Performers including The Lumineers, Chance the Rapper, The Black Keys, Imagine Dragons, Halsey, Janelle Monae, and Common will take the stage during the three-day festival.

Woodstock 50 Music and Arts Fair will take place this summer from August 16-18, in Watkins Glen, New York, which isn’t too far from the original site.
Tickets for the festival fittingly go on sale online on Earth Day (April 22), as this Woodstock celebration aims to bring folks together to heal the planet and support causes that are reflective of our time, much like the original celebration of peace.
The festival was formally announced by co-founder Michael Lang, rapper Common, and John Fogerty at New York’s Electric Lady Studios yesterday evening.
“What we’ve assembled here is a combination of some of the great artists from our era and many of the great artists of today and hopefully some of the great artists of tomorrow,” Lang says, according to Rolling Stone. “Many of these artists are committed to social change, have their own issues that they support, but also support these global issues of climate change and Black Lives Matter.”
