If you had told us that smelling like a gamer was something to aspire to, we probs would’ve looked at you like you were *the* most delusional person on the planet. But we were wrong.
Heading into the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Microsoft teamed up with Lynx (known to us stateside as Axe) to create Lynx Xbox, a new personal care range that includes body spray, deodorant, and shower gel.
Clearly, targeting the finance-bro-in-training market wasn’t enough, and now the company has decided to cater to gamers, too. While this all sounds very … strange, the product description admittedly doesn’t sound too heinous:
“Lynx Xbox is a fresh scent of pulsing green citrus, featuring top notes of kaffir lime and winter lemon, aromatic herbal middle notes of mint and sage, and woody bottom notes of patchouli and clearwood. Containing a range of natural essential oils, the Xbox Lynx range comes with a sleek new look and features a body spray, deodorant, and shower gel.”
The line will be available next month in grocery stores and pharmacies — exclusively in Australia and New Zealand.
The internet has been throwing all the shade since the announcement, including some from Xbox creator Seamus Blackley. He doesn’t seem particularly thrilled with the news, to say the least.
I seriously and honestly have no comment. I have no idea what a comment would even be on this. I’m frankly thinking of just going and drinking heavily at this point. https://t.co/hWZVyEHXjh

It’s genius. How else can we convince gamers to shower?

No word yet on if the Lynx Xbox line is coming to the U.S., but we’ll keep you posted.
