Next-gen gaming is fully upon us at this point, and today gamers got their first look at some of the titles headed to the Xbox Series X, including the first campaign gameplay reveal for the highly anticipated Halo: Infinite.
Part of the Summer Game Fest virtual event, the livestream kicked off at 11 a.m. ET with a preshow featuring guests such as Ninja, MatPat, and J.D. Witherspoon.
At noon, the game reveals kicked off with an extended look at Halo: Infinite, including a villain who — imo — looks a lot like a certain Titan named Thanos.
The rest of the showcase featured updates from nine of the 15 Xbox Game Studios, including five new, first-party games. All of these games will be available as part of the Xbox Game Pass subscription and are best suited for play on the Series X console.
The new game trailers included State of Decay 3, Forza Motorsport, Everwild, Tell Me Why (chapter one available Aug. 27), and an Xbox Series X version of Ori and the Will of the Wisps.
This is truly just the start of the reveals, though — the event featured more than 20 titles! Check out the livestream below to see all of the exciting gameplay content.
