Inspired by Japanese streetwear and Nintendo’s Super Mario, online retailer Zavvi has announced the limited-edition Original Hero capsule collection, available later this month.
The Original Hero range uses bold features of Japanese-inspired streetwear with line art visuals from Super Mario for a unique monochrome and all-black fashion collection. The range includes 16 pieces ranging from T-shirts, long-sleeve shirts, sweat suits, and hoodies, all decorated with the franchise’s iconic characters and villains, such as Goomba and Piranha Plant.
To celebrate the range’s launch, Zavvi developed three exclusive collectible metal prints based on Super Mario’s beloved characters — Princess Peach, Bowser, and Mario. These limited-edition prints are printed on brushed aluminum.
Zavvi’s new range celebrates its partnership with Nintendo and combines the iconic characters with the cool, nostalgic streetwear collection.
The online capsule collection launches Feb. 28.
