As if Disney+ hadn’t already captured my heart (and my money) when news of its epic Lizzie McGuire revival broke, it certainly does now that I know the whole band is getting back together!
Earlier today, Disney announced that Adam Lamberg would reprise his role as Lizzie’s sweet BFF David Gordon (aka Gordo), starring opposite Hilary Duff’s Lizzie in the revival. Seriously, this is what dreams are made of!
“Gordo was an essential piece of the puzzle to what made the original Lizzie McGuire so authentic and beloved,” Duff said in a statement. “I couldn’t imagine the series without him. I can’t wait for fans to see what he’s up to 15 years later and how he fits into Lizzie’s adult world.”
The show, starring Duff (with freshly cut Lizzie-esque bangs!), will also reunite the now 30-year-old with the entire McGuire fam and her 13-year-old animated alter ego as she navigates the trials and tribulations of adulthood.
I’m 100% on board with all of this, but where’s Miranda? Kate? Ethan freaking Craft? I need to know what they’re up to as well.
