February is Black History Month and Fathom Events has five ways to celebrate Black history and culture through the world of the movies.

All February long, Fathom Events will host special screenings of five legendary films by and about Black creators in theaters across the U.S.  The first film is Women in Motion, the story of Nichelle Nichols’ plights working at NASA, leading to the first African American, Asian, and Latino men and women to fly in space.

In Ray and Get on Up, learn about musical icons Ray Charles and James Brown. The special screening of God’s Compass features an exclusive introduction from lead actress Karen Abercrombie. Lastly, tune into a special 30th-anniversary screening of Boyz ‘N the Hood, starring Cuba Gooding Jr., with exclusive content from TCM Big Screen Classics.
