With a worldwide gross of over a billion dollars, there’s no denying that Jurassic World 2: Fallen Kingdom was a solid summer blockbuster.
But now that the movie is a week away from its DVD and Blu-Ray release, the conversation has moved on to Jurassic World 3, likely the final film in the Jurassic Park franchise.
Jurassic World star Bryce Dallas Howard discussed the upcoming sequel and divulged some details about what may be in store in an interview with CinemaBlend.
“In terms of the third movie, the goal overall is to bring the entire saga together,” she said. “It’ll be the sixth film at the end of the day. For me, what I’m most wanting, other than an undercut, is for there to be more characters from early films.”
As Howard points out, this film will tie together not only the previous two films starring herself and Chris Pratt, but also the original trilogy of Jurassic Park films. With the return of Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm in Fallen Kingdom, it seems the new films are setting the stage to bring back other original characters such as Alan Grant or Ellie Sattler.
Director Colin Trevorrow seems to agree, hinting that he is considering including legacy characters in the final installment.
As for what to expect of her character Claire in the third Jurassic World movie, Howard was adamant about dreams for her hair, but didn’t give away much else.
“I’ve been lobbying for Claire to get an undercut and I think that’s not going to happen. I don’t think she’s going to become an eco-terrorist.”
Jurassic World 3 is slated for theatrical release on June 11, 2021.
