Okay, so you’re probably going, “Is this like a Noxzema commercial or what?”

A Clueless remake is officially in the works, 23 years after the original debuted in 1995.

Paramount Pictures is developing the remake, with Girls Trip writer Tracy Oliver as producer and GLOW writer Marquita Robinson as scriptwriter.

The original Clueless starred Alicia Silverstone, Paul Rudd, Brittany Murphy, Stacey Dash, Breckin Meyer, Jeremy Sisto, and Dan Hedaya. It earned $56 million in the U.S. on a $12 million budget, leading to a television spinoff that aired for three seasons.

The ‘90s staple is also getting a theatrical version starring Dove Cameron as Cher Horowitz in Clueless, the Musical, coming to New York next month. If the Broadway success of Legally Blonde and Mean Girls are any indication, it’s sure to be a hit.

And in conclusion may I please remind you it does not say R.S.V.P. on the Statue of Liberty.
