DesignerCon (aka DCON) is finally back with new products!
This year, the convention will take place from Nov. 18-20 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. For 17 years, this show has introduced exclusive, never-before-seen merch to art toy lovers. This year is no different, with several companies, brands, and creators coming together to deliver the newest array of special physical and digital collectibles.
The list of new collectibles feels endless — featured artist Persue created nine exclusive badges for the show, designed after popular video games from the ‘80s and ‘90s, while Mighty Jaxx will introduce new vinyl collectible figures. Culture, Art, Music, Originals (CAMO) will be bringing back its classic 3D Icon Series of music collectibles, this time including Jimmie Hendrix and Bob Marley sculptures. Medicom Toy will also be releasing new figures, including the 2022 DCON Artist Pack. The pack will include items from Doktor A, The Obanoth, SHAG, Nina Palomba, Bobby Hundreds, and more!
Interested in taking your collectibles to the digital world? DesignerCon is introducing 3XP, an opportunity for participants to learn more about the web3 universe. VeVe is also returning to DesignerCon to incorporate its NFTs into the event. The DesignerCon team is even debuting Vincents blind boxes, a collection of phygital collectibles to bring the different collectors’ communities together, both at the in-person event and online on Nov. 18.
DesignerCon also has fun surprises in store for VIP attendees. Pop Mart is offering new blind boxes and collectible figures to these badgeholders before anyone else. Select participants will even be able to take advantage of eBay’s VIP Night, which includes exclusive access to the DCON x eBay VIP Box, in addition to a special Medicom Toy release featuring King Saladeen’s 100% BE@RBRICK. VIP members can also receive a VIP pin from Punk Drunkers and a VIP shirt from Johnny Cupcakes.
Outside of exclusives, there will be plenty to see and do at DesignerCon. Sony Pictures Animation is bringing Mark Brickey from Adventures In Design to host panels during an exciting programming schedule and DesignerCon is collaborating with NTWRK. The app will have its own booth and stream live throughout the event to offer new drops. Additional engaging activities will include the art show Out of Order, carnival games, fancy car showings, and more.
