Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has already surpassed previous Star Wars films in digital ticket sales – despite the film being months away from it’s December release.
Fandango reported that Skywalker has outsold Star Wars: The Force Awakens in ticket sales and is now the No. 1 seller on the ticket-purchasing app.
Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis says, “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is blasting through all current and upcoming new releases” as the epic blockbuster dominates in presale tickets alone.
Disney and Director J.J. Abrams’ cohesive conclusion to the Skywalker Saga opens Dec. 20.
