far from home

Spider-Man: Far From Home is taking the lead from Avengers: Endgame and heading back to theaters for another run before it has even left. Sony Pictures announced the rerelease yesterday, along with the news that the spidey sequel is officially the studio’s highest-grossing movie of all time.

It has brought in $376.7 million domestically and $732.9 million internationally, for a worldwide haul of $1.109 billion. The movie also set a general box office record with the highest Tuesday opening of all time.

Far From Home will head to theaters as an extended cut starting on Thursday, Aug. 29. The new footage is “four additional minutes of a never-before-seen action sequence.”
