Get your engines ready: A trailer for the ninth installment of the Fast and Furious franchise just raced onto our screens after keeping the suspense up at a livestreamed event in Miami.
The Road to F9 was an event worthy of the explosive line of films. Cast members reminisced about working together for almost 20 years, and fans discussed how the speedy saga is more than just a movie to them. Before the trailer was released, Cardi B, Wiz Khalifa, Ozuna, Ludacris, and Charlie Puth gave a concert.
“I love that we’re doing this as one big family,” Vin Diesel said before the trailer dropped. Watch it below.
In the trailer, we see Dom’s (Vin Diesel) past catching up to him: the good and the bad. He calls on his chosen family to help him take down his brother (John Cena,) who is ready to draw blood. It’s the racing action we’ve come to love, with a car even flying at one point. The film will definitely touch on redemption, family, and the power of a fast car.
Fast and Furious 9 (I am assuming they couldn’t find a clever rhyme for nine) will be crashing into theaters on May 22.
