If you’ve ever been crossing a busy street and thought, “Hey, this is just like Frogger,” then you just might be the perfect contestant for Peacock’s next reality series.
Yes, the NBC streaming service is turning the classic Konami arcade game Frogger into a live-action competition show, which will show contestants as they “dodge treacherous traffic, leap over snapping gators, and hop over hungry hippos” on a whimsical, Frogger-inspired course.
Peacock has ordered 13 episodes of this series, which Eureka Productions and Konami Cross Media NY will produce. Chris Culvenor and Paul Franklin are set to serve as executive producers.
The best news? Frogger is taking contestant applications now, via this online application. To be eligible, you must be 18 or older, a resident of the U.S., and available to travel to Australia (!) for 3-5 filming weeks this summer. The application includes about 40 questions, requires two images, and features an optional video submission.
If hopping over hippos doesn’t sound like your preferred way to spend a day, you’ll be able to watch other people make their best effort when Frogger leaps onto Peacock.
