Disney’s Frozen 2 was originally slated to hit theaters on Nov. 27 next year, but is now shifting forward one week to make the most of the holiday week. Disney will get a bonus opening weekend before the extended holiday box office frame, and will release the animated film on Nov. 22 instead.
Idina Menzel (Elsa), Kristen Bell (Anna), and Josh Gad (Olaf) will all return for the sequel, as will Frozen’s co-writers and co-directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck. Evan Rachel Wood and Sterling K. Brown are also in talks to join the sequel, but there is no official confirmation on that yet.
Frozen came out in 2013 and earned approximately $1.3 billion worldwide, so the sequel is expected to be a huge success.
