Something strange hits a small-town neighborhood in the first Ghostbusters: Afterlife trailer.

Mysterious earthquakes rock a rural Oklahoma community. Green beams of light emanate from craters and caves. Explosions smash windows and cars. What is the cause of all this? Could it be ghosts? Well… who ya’ gonna call?!

Ghostbusters: Afterlife will star Stranger Things actor Finn Wolfhard, as well as Paul Rudd, McKenna Grace, and Carrie Coon. Fans of the original Ghostbusters film will be excited to hear that beloved cast members Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Sigourney Weaver are expected to reprise their roles.

Judging by the trailer, Ghostbusters: Afterlife will be more dark and serious than its goofy, whimsical original. Director Jason Reitman — son of Ivan Reitman, who directed Ghostbusters in 1984 — is on board to direct the new movie. Ivan Reitman will act as producer for his son’s take on the Ghostbusters brand.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife will hit theaters next July. Check out the trailer below.
