There’s more than meets the eye at New York Comic Con (NYCC)! Hasbro unveiled all sorts of new Transformers collectibles at the show, and they’re seriously superior.
The Studio Series leads the charge with four favorites from the 2007 Transformers film: Bumblebee, Jazz, Ironhide, and Ratchet. Fans can also pick up Autobot Goldfire from the Transformers: Devastation video game, as well as a six-pack of converting cassettes inspired by Transformers: The Movie, featuring Bolts, Ramhorn, Stripes, Cubby, Stinger, and Rewind.
Meanwhile, the Age of Primes collection welcomes four new members. Cybershark makes a splash in the Voyager Class, alongside the battle-worn tank Guzzle, while Starscream and Onyx Prime soar into the Leader Class. Starscream converts into his classic jet mode in 26 steps, but Onyx Prime takes things to the next level with three possible configurations: robot, creature, and centaur.
For a double dose of nostalgia, Hasbro is revisiting its Generation 1 toy collection with Retro G1 Decepticon Bug Bite and Decepticon Exhaust. Standing roughly 4 to 5 inches tall, both figures transform into sports cars in about 20 steps. They arrive in vintage-inspired blister packaging, complete with clip-and-save character specs, just like the beloved toys from the ‘80s.
However, the sweetest find is the Transformers ‘Til All Are Loved Valentine’s Day Pack. This collectible set features Optimus Prime and Elita-1, as well as 11 themed accessories, including Energon cubes covered with hearts, a Valentine’s Day Matrix of Leadership, and a camera for capturing all the couple’s romantic moments. Fans can show off their beloved bots on their own or in their appropriately adorable packaging.
Most of the reveals are scheduled to hit shelves by spring 2027. The Retro G1 figures are available for pre-order now at Walmart, while pre-sales for Jazz, Ironhide, and Ratchet will open Oct. 13 at 1 p.m. EST at participating retailers and hasbropulse.com.
Looking for even more Transformers news? Stop by the “Transformers & G.I. Joe: What’s Next for the Energon Universe Comics?” panel on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in Room 406.2. At the event, legendary comic artist Robert Kirkman will join forces with Dan Watters, Tom Reilly, Jason Howard, and Conor Hughes to reveal what’s coming next for Transformers, G.I. Joe, Void Rivals, and M.A.S.K., and fans don’t want to miss it.
