After all the drama surrounding MoviePass’ struggling ticket sales, parent company Helios & Matheson Analytics acquired Emmett Furla Oasis Films to launch a new film company, MoviePass Films.
Bruce Willis is set to star in the new film 10 Minutes Gone, with a script from Kelvin Mao and Jeff Jingle, and directed by Brian A. Miller. Willis stars opposite Boss Level and After actress Meadow Williams, Swen Temmel, Sergio Rizzuto, and Tyler Jon Olsen.
The film is scheduled for a September 10 start date in Ohio and will be produced by Randall Emmett, George Furla, and Lydia Hull as a MoviePass Films and Diamond Films Production.
10 Minutes Gone marks the third project for MoviePass Films, following the John Travolta-led mobster drama Gotti and sorority thriller The Row starring Randy Couture and Lala Kent.
The movie follows a man who loses 10 minutes of his memory after being hit by a stray bullet in a bank heist gone wrong. He must put together the pieces of his memory in order to figure out who sabotaged the heist and took the cash, while being pursued by a powerful crime boss (Willis) who’s desperate to recover the cash.
Willis said he is “excited to be working with producers Randall Emmett and George Furla again with their new venture MoviePass Films.”
