Get ready to *scream,* because Ghostface is heading back to the big screen. There is officially a new Scream movie in the works, according to an exclusive report from The Hollywood Reporter (THR).

The relatively new Spyglass Media is behind the project, with Matthew Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett — the team behind last year’s (honestly very underrated) Ready or Not — set to direct.

According to THR, there are very few details available about this production. It is unclear at this time if the movie will serve as a reboot of the ‘90s horror movie-turned franchise or if it will continue the original franchise as Scream 5. Regardless, this is welcome news for horror fans everywhere on this Friday the 13th.

It has been nine years since Scream 4, the most recent theatrical release in the Scream franchise. The franchise was also adapted into an MTV/VH1 anthology television series, which started airing in 2015.
