Calling all Smurfs fans! The internationally beloved brand of blue forest-dwellers is getting its own tabletop gaming experience, timed with The Smurfs’ 65th anniversary.
Maestro Media, a leader in tabletop games and community-driven campaigns, has announced a crowdfunding project for the game that’s set to launch on Kickstarter in October. This campaign will allow fans to get involved and provide feedback, ensuring a fun and engaging final product that is loyal to The Smurfs universe. The game will be delivered to backers and later will be available at retail next year.
Tentatively titled Smurfs’ Hidden Village, the game has you and your friends play as Smurfs who are tasked with rebuilding the mushroom village from scratch following the evil sorcerer Gargamel’s latest scheme. Players work together as a team to collect resources, build inventions, and locate missing Smurfs to help rebuild mushroom houses. Each Smurf has a unique set of skills that players can strategically use to outsmart Gargamel and his cat, Azrael.
