The official Twitter account for Sonic the Hedgehog’s upcoming movie started posting memes and joking with fans last Wednesday to promote the new film.
The new account was also quick to troll fans, who were angry about the first official Sonic the Hedgehog movie poster and IGN teaser, according to Nintendo Life.
Diehard fans were shocked to see the anthropomorphic, blue hedgehog is set to have muscular legs in the live-action film.
They took to Twitter to make fun of the posters, but the @SonicMovie account spun the jokes around on fans. Sonic asked fans, “Can’t a guy workout?”
Ducktales’ Ben Schwartz will voice Sega’s mascot in the movie while Jim Carrey will play Dr. Ivo Robotnik. James Marsden will play Tom Wachowski, and Tika Sumpter’s role is unknown for now, according to IGN.
Sonic the Hedgehog will race into theaters on Nov. 8, 2019 in the U.S.
