It will be hard to defeat Team Rocket if you don’t sleep the night before. Luckily, the Google Fitbit Air Special Edition Pokémon Sleep Tracker ($129.99) can make sure you’re snoozing to your full potential.
The wearable Fitbit Air blends its sleep-tracking features and Google Health’s sleep insights with Pokémon Sleep. Users connect Google Health to Health Connect on Android or Apple Health on iOS. Then, Google Health can be paired with Pokémon Sleep.
The apps record sleep stages and sleep duration, and advises users on their sleep style and how to improve their rest.
With the Pokémon Sleep app, users can win awards for tracking their sleep. After waking up in the morning, trainers gather Pokémon with similar sleeping styles around their Snorlax. The Pokémon also gather berries to strengthen the Snorlax. Sleepers can research their Pokémon’s sleeping styles and use that info to expand their Sleep Style Dex.
Sleepers also generate Drowsy Power, which is calculated using their sleep duration and Snorlax’s Strength. With higher Drowsy Power, users unlock more Pokémon and rarer sleep styles.
The Google Fitbit Air Special Edition Pokémon Sleep launches Sept. 15. The band will be available in the U.S. and Japan. Pokémon fans can preorder the band now at Target and the Google Store. Each purchase comes with a free 3-month trial of Google Health Premium.
You can’t help Pikachu and Charizard complete a quest if you’re not rested!
