Do you have what it takes to compete in the Squid Game challenges?

The Sandbox VR franchise is set to offer a new, location-based virtual reality (VR) experience inspired by the intense Netflix series Squid Game. Opening later this year, the official VR experience fully immerses players in terrifying locations where they must compete against each other in the series of challenges seen in the show’s first season.

These games require complete body and mind concentration. Only the last one standing can be the winner, but there’s no $39 million dollar prize this time — just major bragging rights.

Sandbox VR is designed for groups to play against one another — Teams of up to six friends can enter the spine-chilling virtual world of Squid Game. In the experience, motion-tracking technology and a haptic system will create a realistic experience that you cannot replicate with at-home VR. Your body and its movements will act as the game controller and, at the end of each gaming session, players will receive a highlight reel of their performance that recaps their personal Squid Game story.

Squid Game is just one of the immersive virtual reality experiences that Sandbox VR offers. The company currently operates more than 30 global locations and has offered VR experiences inspired by Star Trek: Discovery and Deadwood Valley.
