Some things were a bit different about the Super Bowl this year, from the lack of parties to the (slightly) less full stadium. However, one thing stayed the same: the commercial breaks were full of trailers for upcoming movies and plenty of ads with celebrities endorsing everything from mayo to spiked seltzer.
In case you skipped out on watching the big game this year, we’ve rounded up the can’t-miss Super Bowl trailers and commercials for pop culture enthusiasts.
THE TRAILERS
THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER
The biggest news of the night for the fandom community? The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has a release date — March 19 — along with an official trailer and poster (pictured top).
RAYA AND THE LAST DRAGON
It’s only a 30-second spot, but it gives fans another look at this upcoming Disney animated original.
OLD
Things get spooky in this upcoming M. Night Shyamalan movie, which is aiming for a theatrical release this summer.
F9
The ninth Fast & Furious movie will be in theaters… some time. But here’s a new trailer for it!
COMING 2 AMERICA
The sequel to Eddie Murphy’s Coming to America heads to Amazon Prime Video on March 5, complete with a Black Panther reference that’s featured in the Super Bowl trailer.
NOBODY
This action-comedy from Universal Pictures, starring Bob Odenkirk, is scheduled for an April 2 theatrical release.
THE ADS
Nearly every ad from the big game starred at least one celebrity, but these ads brought in pop culture characters, featured a movie homage, or offered another fandom-fueled element!
PARAMOUNT+
CBS actually ran a series of ads to promote its upcoming streaming service, Paramount+ (which is replacing CBS All Access and will launch on March 4). This final ad was the highlight, though, as characters from across the ViacomCBS brands — ranging from the Paw Patrol gang and Dora the Explorer to Jersey Shore’s Snooki and Leonardo from TMNT — all come together for a talk from Sir Patrick Stewart.

CADILLAC
This luxury car brand ad brings back Winona Ryder in her iconic Edward Scissorhands role, paying homage to the 1990 cult classic and hilariously casting Timothee Chalamet as Kim Boggs and Edward Scissorhands’ son, Edgar.

And finally, for those who need a Monday morning jam session, here’s a link to The Weeknd’s halftime show!
