In the last decade, Taylor Swift has gone from teardrops on her guitar to becoming one of the biggest names in music. A new Netflix documentary celebrating her iconic career will premiere at Sundance Film Festival on Jan. 23, according to Hollywood Reporter.

The film — titled Taylor Swift: Miss Americana — will largely focus on the recent transformational period in her life. It promises to be “raw and emotionally revealing” while showing her as a woman at the top trying to harness “the full power of her voice.”

News of the documentary first broke in early November when Swift spoke out that Big Machine Label Group would not let her use her old songs or performance footage in the film. Swift has famously been battling the founders of Big Machine — Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun — since Braun acquired the rights to her backlog when he purchased the label back in June.

Their feud became news once again when Swift alleged that she would not be able to use any of her old music in a performance for the American Music Awards (AMAs). She ended up performing some old and some new, most notably “The Man” — where she dressed in clothes resembling prison-wear labeled with her album titles.

Swift won six awards at the show, including Artist of the Decade. She now has the most American Music Awards of any artist.

Drama or not, she has had a roller coaster of a year. Her seventh album, Lover, came out in August to rave reviews. She’s continuously spoken out for the LGBTQ community and tried to make her voice count. A lot of the drama in her life, such as her mom’s cancer battle, has been centered in the news, but there’s promise that this documentary will show some of the more secretive aspects of Swift’s life.

Before the documentary premieres, Swift will star in the movie adaptation of Cats at the end of this year. Taylor Swift: Miss Americana will be ready for everyone to watch — and probably cry to — sometime early next year.
