TLS Leads a Retro Revival with ‘80s Throwback Collectibles

Who says the ‘80s are over? A trio of retro icons is staging a toy shelf takeover, and it’s totally outrageous in the best way. 

The Loyal Subjects  (TLS) is rebooting Jem and the Holograms, M.A.S.K., and even the roll-up plushies Popples in its latest wave of collectibles. Whether you’re reliving your own childhood favorites or discovering them for the first time, these blasts from the past prove some classics will never go out of style. A high note of the line is a Jem and the Holograms reunion tour. This doll collection features all four superstars — Jem, Shana, Aja, and Kimber — each rocking their signature style, instrument, and plenty of VIP accessories. As the star of the show, Jem can dazzle in two different outfits: a glimmering golden concert look and a more sophisticated sparkle for her Jerrica persona. When placed on the stand, each doll breaks out into an outrageous jam from the original series, like  “Glitter and Gold,” “Only the Beginning,” and more!

M.A.S.K. is revving up for its 40th anniversary, and you’re coming along for the ride. Fans can relive the high-octane action with three limited-edition playsets. Strike from the skies with the Thunderhawk, sporting a sleek black and gold metallic finish and piloted by a Matt Trakker action figure. The M.A.S.K. Condor is the epitome of transforming tech, seamlessly converting from a two-wheeled cycle into a copter. If that’s not enough, the High Tech Helicopter brings out the big guns. This dual-mode aircraft, piloted by Miles Mayhem, switches from stealth helicopter to high-speed jet fighter, with a new black and gold paint job for the occasion.

Popples are back, and they’re they’re just as soft and snuggly as you remember! This line stars two limited-edition plushies: Pancake and Party. Like the original toys from the ‘80s, these adorable plush pals flip and fold into fuzzy balls of fun. For an extra touch of retro, each cuddly character features metallic fabric accents and sparkling textured hearts on their feet.
