Back in 2022, Saturday Night Live standouts Pete Davidson and Colin Jost gave us all a good chuckle when they dropped a casual $280,000 to purchase the historic John F. Kennedy Staten Island Ferry. Now, the pair is teaming up with Snapple to officially bring the hilarity to the high seas.
On Sept. 17, the refreshed ship will set sail as the Snapple Island Ferry, a one-night-only comedy club that invites New Yorkers to sit back, pop a cap, and enjoy an escape from the daily grind. And the best part? The event is completely free, no quarter-million price tag in sight. Fans can secure their seats on board starting Sept. 3.Â
Hosted by Davidson and Jost, the 60-minute show will feature a variety of sets from some of the biggest up-and-comers on the comedy scene. In between bouts of laughter, guests can also sample Snapple beverages and snacks while drinking in the iconic skyline of New York City. The entire soiree is produced by The Stand Group, the team behind The Stand Restaurant & Comedy Club, and whose founder is a co-owner of the ship.Â
The Snapple Island Ferry will set sail from Pier 17 in Lower Manhattan on Sept. 17. Free tickets will drop daily at 3 p.m. EST starting Sept. 3 until Sept. 8. To learn more and claim your tickets, visit register.snappleislandferry.com.
