Watch the New Trailer for Star Trek: Discovery Season 2

CBS released a new trailer for its upcoming second season of Star Trek: Discovery, and it appears as though the crews of the USS Discovery and USS Enterprise are in for a fight.

In the new teaser, Ethan Peck’s Spock tells his half-sister, Starfleet officer Michael Burnham, that the team is facing a challenge that could be a “defining moment for multiple civilizations, [and] billions of lives.”

The new season’s main threat seems to be the appearance of seven mysterious red bursts across the galaxy.

Star Trek: Discovery returns on January 17, 2019 on CBS All Access.
