If you’ve spent time in any major U.S. city, there’s a good chance you’ve spotted trailers, no parking signs, or other indicators that a film crew is setting up for an on-site shoot. But with so many movies and shows filming at all times, how can you keep track and hope to sneak a peek at your favorite actors in character? Well, there’s an app for that.

What’s Filming Now is a new, live-feed social media app made by the New York-based TV and movie tour company On Location Tours. With the app, fans can discover what new productions are being filmed near them, find out who will be there, and receive up-to-the-minute updates on filmmaking locations and projects.

The app works through a growing network of users who post when they see a TV or film production being shot in their area. This creates a large circle of shared information that delivers the inside scoop on local movies and TV shows. The five most filmed cities in the U.S. are Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, and Las Vegas, so users in these cities are sure to see plenty of updates.

Entertainment fans who are interested can download What’s Filming Now for free on the App Store and on Google Play. Sign up in the app by the end of this month and send On Location Tours a screenshot of your username to get a free ticket to one of its public tours!
